IBM i Package Maintenance Levels - Agent 8.1.x

There are two deliveries of the IBM i Agent available and supported:

• Workload Automation 5.1.1 for IBM i
• Users desiring the Universal Command and Universal Data Mover should continue to use this version.
• Universal Agent 7.8.x and later for IBM i
• Users desiring integration with Universal Controller, native task execution, and Universal Extension support should use this version.
• UCMD and UDM support will be added to this package in a future release.

Both versions may be installed alongside each other for complete Universal Agent coverage.

This page identifies the package contents for the Workload Automation 5.1.1 for IBM i and the Universal Agent 8.1.x for IBM i releases, and the maintenance level of every component in their respective packages.

B-24214	All	UAGSRV	Provides a new SERVICE_TIMEOUT configuration option for the Universal Agent Server. When this option is set, the connection between the Agent and the OMS Server will no longer be recycled simply due to inactivity. If the Agent and Controller can successfully exchange a message, the connection will be kept as-is. The connection will continue to be recycled when a real network disruption has occurred and the connection needs to be recovered.

D-16020	All	All	Update the OpenSSL 3pp vendor library to remediate Critical- and High-severity CVEs. Virtually all Universal Agent components use OpenSSL for cryptographic functions. Not all components have user-facing visibility, but for practical purposes, a change to OpenSSL is a change to all Universal Agent components.
D-16443	IBM i Unix Windows z/OS	UAGSRV	Fixes a problem where the UAG Server could crash following a restart, particularly while trying to recover processing of several thousand tasks.
