Installation Procedure

Once you have completed all steps in the Pre-Installation Procedure, you can begin installing Robi AI itself.

Robi AI requires two new Tomcat deployments in addition to the existing Universal Controller deployment: the AI Service and the AI MCP Server. The AI Service is the core component of Robi AI, and the AI MCP Server acts as the bridge between the AI Service and the Universal Controller REST API

Compatibility​

AI Service and AI MCP Server versions​

The AI Service and AI MCP Server must be deployed on the same release version. For example, if you deploy AI Service 2.0.0, you must also deploy AI MCP Server 2.0.0. Deploying mismatched versions is not supported and will result in errors.

Universal Controller compatibility​

Robi AI is designed to pair with the Universal Controller version it ships with. Cross-version combinations (e.g. UC 8.1 with AI 1.0) are supported for backward compatibility but may offer a reduced feature set.

Installation Steps​

Complete the following steps to install Robi AI:

Step 1Configure Multiple Tomcat Deployments - If you have not already configured Tomcat to run multiple instances, do so before proceeding.
Step 2Set Up the AI Service - Deploy and configure the AI Service Tomcat instance.
Step 3Set Up the AI MCP Server - Deploy and configure the AI MCP Server Tomcat instance.
