Requirements

Before installing Universal Portal, ensure that the following prerequisites are met:

• Universal Controller version 7.8 or later with OAuth Single Sign-on enabled.
• A web server with access to a valid SSL certificate (not required if running on localhost). You can use any of the following web servers:
  • Tomcat (recommended) - supports drag-and-drop deployment of the .war file directly to the Universal Controller host.
  • Alternative web servers such as NGINX, Caddy, or any reverse proxy-capable server. Required when deploying the Portal on a host other than the Universal Controller.
• An OIDC-compliant Identity Provider (see OAuth Settings for configuration details). Supported providers include:
  • Entra
  • Google
  • Okta
  • Auth0
